Open Questions – Interview

I been in search of question which can expose the candidate’s ability to fight problems and see their actual contributions. Listed below are few questions which can open up good and pretty long conversations.

1) If you had to change something in your current process/application/product what is it?

2) Explain a moment where you had to fight hard to get things working as per your thoughts?

3) Any instance when you disagreed with the team’s decision?

4) How do you motivate people to take different approaches, is there any example where you made the team take different approach?

5) What was your most challenging assignment?

6) What was the worst feedback you have got in work?

7) What are your strengths for which we should go ahead and hire you?

 

This is just a partial list of question and can be built. Please add your thoughts also to this list.
